Medical Massage Therapy is massage customized to aid in the healing of injured and hypertonic muscles. Hypertonic muscles or "idiopathic" pain, can be caused by the shortening of specific muscle fibers. Hypertonic muscles may also cause headaches, joint pain, back pain and other symptoms of discomfort. Injuries such as whiplash from car accidents, and frozen shoulder from baseball can all be affected in a positive way with the help of massage.
